Production 1: Shoot day and interview at Ewoke
Shritha and I visited the Ewoke studio today in Hyderabad, Jubilee Hills, to shoot content and interview Shruti Rawal, the founder. We spent around 2-3 hours in the studio, spending 45 mins to an hour with Shruthi talking to her and executing the interview, and the rest of the time, interacting with other employees and interns at the studio to learn about their brand and ethics and shooting content around the studio. I also wanted to get done with shooting at this studio in one day, as I didn't want to take too much of Shruti and her team's time and I would also have to try and find clothing dumpsters and a few other shots showing the damage of fast fashion on the environment and how people don't realize it often.
We began by setting up a space for us to record the interview with Shruti. We used her DigiTek ring light on medium brightness and set it up next to her office desk.

I wanted the background to be simple, so we stuck to a white wall and used a black chair for her to sit on. Me and Shritha took turns asking questions and filming so it would be easier and energy-saving for both of us. We asked all the planned questions; however, considering the time limit, I would have to cut out a few unnecessary or repetitive points later while editing. After finishing the interview with Shruti, we explored the studio and spoke to the others working there, gaining more insight into their production and brand overall. For these shots, we didn't use any extra equipment or lighting. We used our phones and recorded everything in cinematic mode for better clarity and focus. We recorded different sustainable fabrics, sketches, eco-friendly buttons, clothing pieces, certified tags and awards and the store itself.
